H.E. Josefa Leonel Correia Sacko
H.E. Josefa Leonel Correia Sacko, from Angola, was elected as the new commissioner for Agriculture, Rural Development, Blue Economy, and Sustainable Environment (ARBE) of the African Union Commission. Mrs Sacko was the special adviser to the Minister of agriculture, assigned with the responsibility of advising on issues related to international cooperation both bilateral and multilateral

Yvan Rwananga
Yvan Rwananga is an Associate Programme Officer within the Trade Facilitation and Policy for Business section at the ITC. His previous engagements include the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva where he specialised in the law and policy of international trade and investment. He holds a Master’s degree in international economic law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
Simeon Ehui
Simeon Ehui is Regional Director, Continental Africa, CGIAR, and Director General of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
Dr Simeon Ehui has over 30 years of experience in agriculture and sustainable development, building a wide-ranging network of scientific research organizations within the CGIAR system, multilateral organizations, regional bodies, and national governments in Africa and other continents.
Before joining IITA, Dr Ehui was Regional Director for Sustainable Development for West and Central Africa at the World Bank. He previously served as Director of the World Bank’s Food and Agriculture Global Practice. In addition, he was the Bank’s Manager of agriculture and water in South Asia and Africa, as well as Lead Economist and Sector Leader for the Sustainable Development Network in Nigeria, covering a variety of sectors such as agriculture, environment, social, water, urban, transport, and energy.
Before joining the World Bank, Dr Ehui worked for 15 years at CGIAR, managing multi-agricultural research development programs in Africa and Asia for both IITA and ILRI.
